A quiet, focused Sunday Afternoon for serious builders, tinkerers, and learners.
If you’re working on freedom tech, open-source, privacy tools or protocols, FOSS or just starting to seriously explore these worlds, you’re welcome to join a few hours of deep, distraction-free co-working at HomemakerSpaces.
This isn’t a casual co-working café. It’s a hackerspace — built for thoughtful work, real curiosity, and slow, serious exploration.
Coming this Sunday? Read this first:
To keep the space focused and the energy right, here’s what you really need to know:
- Bring your laptop, charger, and headphones — this is for folks doing real, quiet work.
- No phone calls inside the workspace — take them outside if needed.
- We’re not a café — this is a hackerspace, not a hangout.
- There’s coffee — feel free to walk and grab from near by T shops or order a flask of Coffee/Chai.
That’s the vibe.
If you’re nodding along, you’re probably a good fit.

What is HomeMakerSpaces?
HomeMakerSpaces is a hackerspace for people working on (or learning about) FOSS, open protocols, privacy tech, and the open internet.

It’s a focused space for thoughtful builders — devs, designers, researchers, tinkerers — who care about freedom, resilience, and open systems.
How does the Sunday co-working work?
Every Sunday Morning, we open our doors to folks outside our core regulars who want to get a feel for the space. You bring your laptop, plug in your headphones, and work on your own thing — surrounded by other builders.
The timings are:
- 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Quiet, independent work. Bring your laptop, plug in, zone out.
- 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Unwind. Stretch your legs, have casual chats, play some board games if you feel like it.
There are no presentations, no formal pressure of networking, no “sessions” — just a simple, peaceful workday with others who value the same kind of purpose and focus.
Who is this for?
People who are:
- Working on (or learning about) privacy tools, open protocols, FOSS or anything aligned with freedom tech
- Building open-source projects (or hoping to)
- Curious, respectful, and okay with quiet vibes
- Looking for a long-term community of builders in their journey, not just a free desk for the day
- People looking for genuine community and connection over time – not instant pitching, hustling, or freeloading.
Who is this not for?
If you’re just looking for:
- A spot to take calls or run meetings
- Free amenities without caring about the vibe
- A loud, startup-style networking environment
…this probably isn’t the right day to fit. And that’s okay! Feel free to book and come rest of the week.
What can I expect from it?
You might leave with:
- A few hours of uninterrupted deep work (finally!)
- A low-key, respectful environment where curiosity and exploration are welcome.
- A chance to meet others quietly building towards similar ideas — without the pressure of “networking.”
It’s low-pressure, high-signal. You just show up, work quietly, and let connections happen naturally.
Quick heads-up:
- Bring your laptop, charger, and headphones.
- Please keep phone calls outside the main workspace.
- Coffee is available if you want to brew yourself a cup.
- Space is limited — RSVP early and tell us a bit about yourself to help us curate a good group.
How do I join?
Just Register and answer a few questions about yourself and your interests. We have very limited space, so we review every request and confirm a few new people each week.
We’ll email you by Friday or Saturday evening if you’ve got a spot.
